Di Crosfield - Musical Director

Di first appeared on stage at 4 years old when she sang and danced with her mother as a Page in "Merry England"! She encountered Barbershop harmony when working in the USA on a Nursing Scholarship. From a musical family and following many Saturday mornings of singing lessons she sang with the Savoy Operatic in Bristol performing Gilbert & Sullivan parts such as the Fairy Queen in "Iolanthe" and the Duchess in "The Gondoliers", but Barbershop was soon to take over as her main musical passion.

Musical Director Di Crosfield

She joined "The Avonbelles", from Bristol, as a Tenor and later as Assistant Musical Director. She subsequently, in addition to singing with the Avonbelles, directed "Cardiff Style", and under her direction they won the "Small Chorus Of The Year" trophy at Convention.
During this time she trained as a LABBS Judge and, for some 10 years, judged "Balance And Blend" and later was a Judge in the "Sound" category.

She took over as MD of The Avonbelles in the late 80's and continued in that role until 1995. She then helped to form the Chorus now known as "Fascinating Rhythm" and in 1999, following a move to her native Hampshire, she took over as MD for The Tudor Roses.

Well known as a coach and a regular and popular compere at many of our competitions, she brings her skills, experience and enthusiasm to our Chorus.
